Biography

Luo Xiao: Attending Physician, Ph.D., Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Luo’s main research areas include the clinical application and basic research of biomaterials, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and adipose-derived stem cell technology in aesthetic surgery, as well as the formation mechanisms and clinical treatment of various scars. Dr. Luo is skilled in various minimally invasive aesthetic techniques and injectable aesthetic treatments for anti-aging, such as botulinum toxin for facial and body slimming, and facial hyaluronic acid and collagen fillers.

Dr. Luo has been engaged in clinical practice, research, and teaching in plastic surgery for more than ten years. Dr. Luo is familiar with the treatment of various plastic surgery conditions and can perform routine eye, ear, nose, and breast plastic surgeries as well as comprehensive treatment for various scar revisions. Dr. Luo is particularly skilled in minimally invasive injectable aesthetic treatments, including botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, and skin boosters for wrinkle reduction, facial slimming, lifting, and other refined facial adjustments; minimally invasive facial rejuvenation surgery, customized double eyelid surgery, minimally invasive pouch removal, and small-incision facial lifting. Dr. Luo has considerable clinical experience in intense pulsed light photorejuvenation combined with laser and optoelectronic technology, radiofrequency skin tightening, picosecond laser, Thermage, laser removal of pigmentation, scars, moles, and red blood vessels, lipolysis and body contouring, as well as the treatment and improvement of acne and sensitive skin.

Dr. Luo’s main research areas include various biomaterials, the clinical application and basic research of adipose-derived stem cells in aesthetic surgery, and the formation mechanisms and clinical treatment of various scars. Dr. Luo currently serves as a member of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Group of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Oculoplastic Surgery Branch of the Aesthetic Medicine Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, a member of the Laser Group of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Luo has led and participated in multiple Hubei Provincial and National Natural Science Foundation projects, and received the “3551 Optics Valley Talent Program” Award and the Outstanding Young Physician Award at the Ziyalan International Anti-Aging Medical Aesthetics Conference. Dr. Luo is a physician listed in the SoYoung Green Gemstone and one of the Top 100 Most Influential Plastic Surgeons of the Year on the Gengmei APP.
